Website Development With Photoshop Tools
Photoshop tools are not just the best for editing photos. They can also be used to develop a website. The tools can be used to create Web pages, save them as a Web Page Gallery, and enhance a Web site’s appearance. Users can use Photoshop tools to optimize images and develop their own Web site. Users should first create a side; creating a sidebar requires creating a new file first, then creating a second document for the fill pattern. Users should only use the maximum magnification to paint pixels with the Pencil tool. To define a color, users must click the Foreground Color field in the Tools palette, and you must make sure the Web-Safe Colors option is selected in the Color Picker. Only the Web-Safe Colors option should be used when creating your pattern, Edit> Define Pattern will store the document as a pattern. The fill pattern document is temporary and won’t be needed, but can be saved for later editing.
After creating the fill pattern, you will need to go back to the first document to create the actual sidebar. To create the actual sidebar, you must select the Create New Shape Layer option and check that No Style is selected from the Layer Style pop-up menu. A new layer is needed to create the sidebar, and Photoshop will create it for you automatically. A sidebar is drawn using the Rectangle tool, and once it is drawn the shape is filled with the pattern, by creating a pattern overlay layer effect. To create a pattern overlay effect, choose Layer> Layer Style> Pattern Overlay, then select the saved fill pattern. When developing a Web site using Photoshop, you should decide whether to use frames or tables when you prepare the HTML. Making this decision affects what users will be able to do when developing the Web site using Photoshop tools. This decision is important when creating an arch
To create an arch for your Web site, create a new layer in the Layers palette and use the Rectangle tool to draw your shape, which will require zooming in, to create with precision. Changing the rectangle into an arch requires the user to click on the lower right corner of the rectangle with the Direct Selection tool selected, and drag the anchor point up while pressing the Shift key (to restrict the movement to the vertical axis). Then, use the Add Anchor Point tool to add an anchor point in the middle of the path, and move the anchor with the Direct Selection tool until you get an arch.
The side bar will need navigation buttons, and the first step in creating navigation buttons is creating a Duplicate of the layer with the arch. To Duplicate the layer, use the Duplicate Layer button in the Layers palette pop-up menu, then choose Layer> Layer Style> Clear Layer Style, to get rid of layer effects. Then, cut out the part of the arch above the sidebar and use it as a basis for the buttons. Next, select all anchor points with the Direct Selection tool-except the anchor point in the lower left corner of the arch, and the new anchor point to its right. After that, drag the path parallel by pressing Shift and the Option/Alt before releasing the mouse button, which creates a copy automatically.
Then connect the ends of the paths with the Pen Tool and use the Convert Point tool to adjust all of the handles of the anchor points. The shape color can be changed to black, or any color you choose by using, Layer> Change Layer Content> Solid Color. The final step is adjusting the Opacity of each button, to make the lower buttons more transparent. Then duplicating that layer, then moving and adjusting the paths and transparency can create other buttons. Photoshop tools can be used to develop and enhance any Web site.
